Last week, PointClickCare brought together customers and partners from the senior care continuum to learn and discuss the latest industry trends and insights impacting care providers at its 6th annual user conference, SUMMIT.
And what a success! More than 1,700 participants, including exhibits from the industry’s leading healthcare and information technology companies from across North America, joined this year’s conference at the JW Marriott Grande Lakes in Orlando, FL.
From Skilled Nursing to Senior Living to Home Health to Life Plan Communities, this year’s SUMMIT offered content and subject matter experts to address the full spectrum of senior care. Erik Bermudez from KLAS Research addressed the changing dynamic of hospital and provider relationships. Lynne Katzmann from Juniper Communities was joined by executives from Brookdale and Responsive Group Inc. to give insight on how to forge patient-for-life relationships — a challenge all senior care providers face.
In-depth breakout sessions updated attendees on health technology trends, such as the latest efforts to promote data interoperability; automating referral management; how population health management systems can support risk management and better financial performance for senior care providers; and how technology is the driving force behind the great strides made in bettering transitions of care.
For the first time this year, a pre-conference training session was offered to attendees. It focused on how to better utilize their electronic health record (EHR) platform and how to maximize effectiveness in senior care operations. As well, back by popular demand, SUMMIT SmartBar gave customers the opportunity to sit down one-on-one with a PointClickCare subject matter expert to learn more about how to maximize their technology investment.
This year saw the largest PointClickCare Showcase, giving attendees the opportunity to get hands on and learn more about the latest technology offerings, such as Skin and Wound, CRM, SmarthPath 2.0, Analytics, and much more.
The goal of the conference each year is to help industry insiders forge strong relationships with their peers in the industry and as well to provide the PointClickCare team with valuable insights on the challenges faced by senior care providers. The learnings and feedback obtained from customers will shape the products and solutions of the future, helping care providers continue to deliver high-quality care at a low cost.
All in all, SUMMIT 2016 was a huge success. Thank you to everyone who attended and we can’t wait to see you again next year!
